Indian Friday Imam : Insulting Ayatollah Khamenei Is an Affront to the Entire Muslim Ummah

Taragra, India – In his Friday sermon, Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Naqi Mehdi Zaidi, the Friday prayer leader of Taragra, India, issued a strong condemnation of recent insulting remarks by certain Indian media outlets directed toward Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution. He emphasized that such actions constitute an insult to the entire Muslim Ummah and a violation of moral and journalistic integrity.

Hawzah News Agency- Hojjatoleslam Zaidi underscored the respected and influential status of Ayatollah Khamenei not only among Shiite communities worldwide but also among broader Muslim and freedom-loving populations. He asserted, “The Supreme Leader is a spiritual beacon and a voice of resistance whose dignity resonates across the Muslim world. Insulting such a figure is not a local or sectarian matter—it is a direct affront to the conscience and deeply held beliefs of the global Islamic community.”

A Broader Agenda: Undermining the Resistance Front

Addressing the motivations behind these media attacks, Hojjatoleslam Zaidi warned that such insults are part of a broader agenda aimed at weakening the resistance front and silencing global solidarity with the Palestinian cause. “Today, support for Palestine has evolved into a global movement led by visionary leaders like Ayatollah Khamenei. Targeting him is a desperate attempt to halt the rising tide of awareness and resistance,” he said.

Insults Reflect Weakness, Not Strength

The Indian cleric described these attacks as signs of the adversaries' desperation rather than power. “These defamatory campaigns do not show strength—they reveal fear and moral bankruptcy. The truth, championed by the voices of the oppressed and leaders of resistance, is now too powerful to suppress.”

Condemnation of Indian Media Outlets

In a pointed critique, Hojjatoleslam Zaidi condemned the role of certain major Indian media outlets, including India TV and Hindustan Times, accusing them of acting as propaganda arms of the Zionist regime. “India is facing a serious moral crisis. These outlets have abandoned journalistic ethics and are now contributing to societal decay. If left unchecked, their actions will bring shame not only to the media landscape but to the nation itself.”

Call for Accountability and Public Apology

Concluding his remarks, Hojjatoleslam Zaidi called for a firm response to these attacks and demanded a public apology from the media organizations involved. “We expect these outlets to issue a formal apology from the same platforms where the insults were broadcast. Respect for religious figures, journalistic responsibility, and peaceful coexistence demand nothing less.”

The sermon has garnered attention across both Indian and international Muslim communities, with growing calls for accountability and renewed vigilance against media incitement and sectarian provocation.
